September 2016 This Month we will be putting together the finishing touches for this years Titchfield Carnival   We can hardly wait, and with so much to see and do you’ll also be counting down the days.

The bunting Goes up on the 16th October , we need help so any one who want to volunteer please meet us in the SQUARE  at 10am

The Carnival weekend kicks off on Friday 21st October with Carnival Rings Torments at 7pm in the Queens Head this traditional unique event has been taking place for over 70 years and always on the Friday prior to the carnival

On Saturday October  22nd  we are having our annual Titchfield Carnival Zombie Walk from the corner of Bellfield and Coach hill around the village. The start time for the walk 7pm assemble from 6.45pm followed by a Kids Disco in the Bugle hotel .  Entry for the Zombie Walk is £1.    So Titchfield dig out your  finest fake blood and ripped clothing, and dress up your pets for a zombie strut.

Prior to the Zombie walk at 6pm Stuart Trotter is giving a talk  at St Peters Chruch ‘The Southampton family tomb in St. Peter’s Church, this is  one of the most amazing stories ever told of a dysfunctional family, religious war, hatred, passion, revenge and lust

Sunday 23rd    Carnival Day   the  1st Road Closures will start at 11.15am.   Once again, we are running the popular Classic Car Show & Parade  which precedes the main Carnival procession, this will be the 4th year of this well-supported event .  We are excepting an eclectic mix of different classic Car

On the Carnival Day You’ll also find activities going on throughout the day including Carnival West Street Market ,  live,  Coles fairgrounds at Barrys Meadow, The Yummy food village in Southampton Hill.

Bands Attending this years Carnival are Dolphin Marching Band, Romsey Old Cadets & St Andrews Pipe band.  We are hoping to secure Morris Dancers and the Imperial Choir.

In Between the Afternoon and Evening procession at 4.15pm  there is a talk give by Stewart Trotter  on ‘The Southampton family tomb in St. Peter’s Church,.

For Titchfield Carnival Classic Car Show and parade is prior to the Carnival afternoon procession. Booking is must be done in advance , we have limited amount of places and FREE to enter your vehicle please contact me via e – mail on miniminorman@gmail.com

We looking forward to seeing carnival decorated window around the Village and we are displaying the carnival trophies again

Titchfield Bonfire boys are still looking Volunteers  for carnival day, we are getting some response regarding our quest for volunteers but need a lot more if the Carnival is to be a big success. Don’t forget Titchfield Carnival is ran by Volunteers in order to raise money for local charity’s & good causes so no matter how you do it make sure you give at least £1 to one of our collectors on the day
